It is the toughest problem that a human faces, and yes the root to major problems, not listening to others. It is making us inefficient. our minds and ears are so blocked that we don't want to replace our previously maintained ideas.. we really maintain them whatever thing come to us if it is according to our idea then we appreciate it and if it is against then we discard it.
But I think in learning there is no place of winning or losing. we always want that our idea must win and we always prove to be right, because nobody want to be criticized and so lacking the power to learn. Here comes that 95% of that unused brain because if you don't accept that input thought you work on only little thoughts and knowledge and your domain is too small then what is the need of that much high capacity processor where a small part of that can handle it. And so for better utilization of Brain Start listening and accepting not blindly but listen then process it, don't discard it before understanding it just because it is contradictory to your previous knowledge..........
